Service Description
👤 Tutor: Donnacha O'Brian 📅 Day: Wednesday ⏱ Duration: 10 Weeks 💶 Price: €100 📍 Location: Room N08 🕒 Time: 7pm - 8:30pm Learn how to go about researching your ancestors and piecing together the story of your family origins, all using freely available sources and archives. Learn how to do research, first using your own family - interviewing older members for memories and stories that can provide important leads into the past. Then find out how to use online archives to find interesting information about family descendants long ago, e.g. the State Records of Births, Marriages & Deaths, and the recently published 1926 census. Participants will be encouraged to keep a research folder over the course, and to present their family tree to the group at the end.
