Introduction To Electronics

Get hands-on with electronics and discover how circuits, sensors and microcontrollers work together to control the physical world. This practical, beginner-friendly course introduces the fundamentals of electronics through circuit building and Arduino programming. You will learn about digital and analogue signals, Ohm's Law, switches, sensors, PWM control and basic troubleshooting, while developing the confidence to wire circuits and write and modify simple Arduino code.

​

Throughout the course, you will apply your knowledge through practical projects, including a pedestrian traffic light system, light-activated devices, an intruder alarm and a Theremin. Later sessions introduce topics such as servos, actuators, serial communication, output expansion and SCADA systems, providing an insight into how these principles are used in industrial automation and control. No previous electronics experience is required.

Your course fee includes an electronics kit, which you will receive and keep after the course. The kit is an ELEGOO UNO R3 Basic Starter Kit, providing the components and Arduino-compatible hardware you will use throughout the practical sessions and allowing you to continue experimenting and building projects at home.
